When to book a telemedicine visit

1. When you have a medical problem or concern that does not require a physical examination to manage properly — when your visit does not need vital sign measurements such as blood pressure, temperature or oxygen levels. Renewal of a single prescription is a good example.
2. When one of our clinic physicians asks that a telemedicine visit be booked, for example to review lab results or other investigations.
3. When you need renewal of medical notifications, such as physiotherapy or massage therapy notes, that do not require a repeat physical examination.
4. For psychological counselling, when pre-approved by your family physician.

How it works

1. Book online, or call the clinic at 250-768-6920 and request a telemedicine appointment.
2. You will need a smartphone, laptop or computer with video and audio, and a good internet connection at the time of your appointment.
3. You need to provide an email address.
4. A link will be sent to your email address at least 24 hours before your appointment.
5. Accepting the link indicates your consent to a confidential telemedicine consultation. Please do not click the link if you have any questions or concerns about consent — call us instead.

When telemedicine is not appropriate

If your concern needs a physical examination, vital signs, an in-person procedure or investigation, please book an in-person appointment instead. If you are unsure, call the clinic and our staff will help you choose.
